The Reign of Ahab (1 Kings 20-22; 2 Kings 1)
Hey parents! This week we dove into the story of King Ahab and how his repeated choices to ignore God ultimately led to his downfall. Despite God’s patience and clear warnings, Ahab acted out of greed, dishonesty, and stubbornness—disobeying God, taking what wasn’t his, and rejecting wise counsel. Through this story, kids will see that our choices have consequences, but also that God offers grace through Jesus. Remind them that while sin leads to death, Jesus made a way for us to be forgiven, changed, and able to follow God with our whole hearts.
